Our Wines
At Kasten Estate, we use traditional Bordeaux winemaking techniques combined with California ingenuity. We utilize a conservative and sustainable approach that respects the terroir and results in wines that are delicate and elegant with distinct personalities. We strive for well-balanced, savory, food-friendly wines to be enjoyed anytime or shared with family and friends. To that end, vintages of cabernet sauvignon are often blended with merlot, petite Verdot, and/or cabernet franc from neighboring vineyards. Wines are aged in 30 percent new French Oak barrels for two years.
The Kasten Estate vineyard yields up to a maximum of 500 cases of wine per harvest. The Kastens have also added other wines including chardonnay and rosé to their lineup as a lighter alternative to their red blends.
Due to the limited production of our wines, purchasing is reserved for our Wine Club members or direct sales. To receive a 4 bottle allocation, 3 times a year, select “Join Our Wine Club”. Rosé

This delightful rosé was created from our Estate Cabernet. The nose draws you in with notes of vanilla cream and lavender, while the palate bursts with fruit flavors including white peach, pink grapefruit, and strawberry. This is an easy drinker – perfect for a warm day or just relaxing in the evening.

This vintage is made from our estate Cabernet Sauvignon from the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. It has an elegant pale strawberry color and bright fruit flavors.

Chardonnay

This Napa chardonnay is a lush and flavorful expression of regional Carneros fruit. Minimal barrel aging and partial malolactic fermentation provide a refreshing and beautifully balanced white wine that can be paired with food or enjoyed on its own.

Vintage Port

Our 2018 Vintage Port is made from late harvest Cabernet Sauvignon vines in our Estate Kasten Vineyard. It was 30 degrees, Brix, after harvest and then fortified with brandy during fermentation. This wine was aged for 2 years in French Oak barrels.

This sweet dessert wine starts off with a pleasant aroma of leather and a hint of vanilla. The wine delivers a mouthful of chocolate-covered cherries with a touch of espresso beans. It is smooth and delicious and will only get better with age.
